Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy 

Mbeya Music adheres to a copyright policy centered on the removal of infringing material upon request. While the platform is based in Tanzania and guided by the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act [CAP. 218 R.E. 2023], its procedures for handling takedown requests mirror the standard Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) framework used globally.

Copyright Takedown Procedure

Copyright holders can request content removal by emailing mbeyamusic@gmail.com with a written notice containing:

Identification & Location: Description of the copyrighted work and specific URLs on mbeyamusic.com.

Contact & Authority: Your contact information and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Statement & Signature: A "good faith belief" statement and a physical or electronic signature. 

Legal Framework

Operating under Tanzanian law, specifically the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act, Mbeya Music respects the economic and moral rights of creators. The Copyright Society of Tanzania (COSOTA) oversees these rights in the region.
